La Paz, BCS – Electric bicycles, shared scooters, solar-powered vehicle tours, and new non-motorized transportation ventures are transforming the urban landscape of La Paz , consolidating the Southern California capital as a benchmark for sustainable mobility.
In the last twelve months, at least five new local companies have launched offering eco-friendly transportation alternatives for both residents and visitors. These include EcoRide , an electric scooter rental service with stations on the Malecón and in the historic center, and LaPazGo , a mobile app that allows bike sharing in tourist and residential areas.

“Sustainable mobility is no longer a trend; it's an urban necessity. In La Paz, we have an ideal environment for developing clean and efficient transportation,” says Andrea Robles, co-founder of EcoRide.
For its part, the municipality's Urban Mobility Department announced that 8 additional kilometers of bike lanes will be added this year and tax incentives will be introduced for businesses that promote non-polluting modes of transportation.
In addition to the environmental benefits, these new business models have created jobs and boosted eco-tourism, particularly in areas such as El Esterito, the Malecón, and Piedras y Dunas Park.
La Paz moves forward, rolls forward, and reinvents itself... to the rhythm of a cleaner, more connected city.
