During her visit to La Paz , President Claudia Sheinbaum presented a package of 12 priority actions aimed at improving infrastructure and services in Baja California Sur .
These actions cover key sectors such as drinking water, health, housing, transportation, education, and gender equality.
Notable projects include the construction of a desalination plant in Los Cabos , with an investment of 487 million pesos, the construction of the El Novillo dam in La Paz, with a budget of 800 million pesos, and the installation of a water treatment plant in the same city.
In addition, 95 actions related to the supply of drinking water in the state's five municipalities are planned, with a total investment of 2.8 billion pesos over the six-year term.
In the health sector, the start of construction of a new IMSS regional hospital in Los Cabos was announced .
Regarding housing, the construction of decent homes for low-income families is planned.
In education, school infrastructure will be strengthened and gender equity programs will be implemented.
President Sheinbaum emphasized her commitment to the state, stating: “We will work tirelessly to ensure that the Fourth Transformation takes root, and takes root well, in Baja California Sur.”
