Wave of violence hits Baja California Sur: attacks and threats in Los Cabos

Los Cabos, BCS – A series of violent incidents has raised concerns among residents of Baja California Sur . Over the past 24 hours, there have been attacks on public transportation, armed clashes, and the appearance of narco-banners threatening authorities.
In Los Cabos , three public transportation buses were set on fire, leading to the temporary suspension of service and causing fear among commuters. Additionally, armed clashes were reported in various areas of Cabo San Lucas , including the Puesta del Sol and 4 de Marzo neighborhoods, early Friday morning.
Authorities have intensified security operations in the region, with the participation of federal and state forces, in an effort to restore order and ensure the safety of the population. Governor Víctor Castro Cosío condemned the incidents and assured that the necessary measures will be taken to address the situation.
Civil organizations and community leaders have expressed concern about the increase in violence and called on authorities to implement effective strategies to prevent and combat organized crime.
Citizens, for their part, have shown their solidarity and resilience, organizing community activities and strengthening social ties in pursuit of peace and security in the region.
