Street closures in La Paz due to the arrival of the "Norra Mexican 1000" off-road race

This Wednesday, April 30, a temporary road closure will be implemented on the La Paz boardwalk for the arrival of vehicles participating in the "Norra Mexican 1000" international race , one of the most renowned off-road competitions on the continent.


The Municipal Traffic Department announced that the section between Ignacio Allende and Melchor Ocampo will be closed from 1:00 p.m. until midnight .


The population is recommended to use alternative routes such as Navarro or 16 de Septiembre. This race covers more than 1,300 miles from Ensenada to La Paz and brings together pilots from the United States , Canada , Europe and Mexico .

Local authorities noted that the race has a positive impact on sports tourism and generates an estimated revenue of more than 10 million pesos for the hotel, restaurant, and service sectors.
