South California athletes shine at the Conade National Games

La Paz and Los Cabos have been the municipalities with the highest number of medals, thanks to the performance of young talents such as Valeria Gómez (gold in swimming) and Eduardo Rodríguez (silver in mountain biking).

The Baja California Sur delegation has had an outstanding participation in the 2025 Conade National Games , already accumulating 15 medals in disciplines such as swimming, athletics, and cycling.
La Paz and Los Cabos have been the municipalities with the highest number of medals, thanks to the performance of young talents such as Valeria Gómez (gold in swimming) and Eduardo Rodríguez (silver in mountain biking).
The director of the South California Sports Institute , Carlos Quintana , emphasized that these achievements reflect the efforts of athletes, coaches, and families, as well as the positive impact of the state's sports support programs.
The competitions will continue until next weekend, with expectations of surpassing the 25 medals obtained last year. State authorities plan to welcome the medalists with a tribute on the La Paz boardwalk .
