Baja California Sur celebrates the achievements of its young athletes in regional competitions leading up to the 2025 National Olympics. Volleyball, track and field, and swimming teams achieved notable victories in qualifying tournaments held in Sonora and Baja California .


In women's volleyball, the U-17 team achieved a historic qualification after defeating Sonora and Baja California , two of the traditionally strongest teams in the Northwest, in consecutive games.


In athletics, several South California athletes achieved outstanding performances in the sprint, long jump, and discus throw events, securing their place in the top national competition.


Meanwhile, in swimming, Baja California Sur stood out for its high technical level and won medals in different categories, consolidating its representatives as serious contenders for the national podium.


State sports officials emphasized that these results are the fruit of years of investment in sports infrastructure, talent development programs, and the collaborative efforts of coaches, parents, and young athletes.


The Southern California delegation is now preparing for the National Olympics , which will be held this summer, where they will seek to improve on their historic participation in 2024 and reaffirm Baja California Sur's sporting potential at the national level.
