Operations are being reinforced in Loreto and Comondú after a violent day that left four dead.

The governor of Baja California Sur, Víctor Castro Cosío, announced that special operations and security meetings will be activated in Loreto and Comondú.

On the night of Wednesday, June 4, the municipalities of Loreto and Comondú were the scene of a series of violent incidents that resulted in the deaths of four people and the injury of one other. In response to this situation, the Baja California Sur Security Roundtable has decided to intensify inter-institutional operations in the northern part of the state.


During the session held on Thursday, June 5, authorities from all three levels of government, including representatives from the Ministry of National Defense , the Ministry of the Navy , the Attorney General's Office , the National Intelligence Center , the State Attorney General's Office , and the Ministry of Public Security , presented the first reports on the events.


In Loreto , the incidents occurred in the Miramar neighborhood , where the discovery of a lifeless man, identified as Hansel "N", alias "El Chore", was reported, with injuries caused by a firearm projectile. Later, in the Infonavit neighborhood of the same municipality, a woman identified as Gabriela "N", alias "La Amairani", was murdered; she had a criminal record for drug dealing. Later, in the same Miramar neighborhood, a man identified as José Alfredo "N", 31 years old, was killed by gunshot .


In Ciudad Constitución , Comondú municipality , a woman was reported admitted to the General Hospital with a foot injury caused by a firearm projectile. Preliminary investigations indicate that the van in which the woman was transported left a home located on Belisario Domínguez Street between Lorenza M. Viuda de Tapia and Basilio Polanco Higuera, in the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood, where several vehicles had previously been reported set on fire.


Baja California Sur Governor Víctor Castro Cosío announced that special operations and security meetings will be launched in Loreto and Comondú. He indicated that the measures will focus primarily on the areas where the recent events occurred, with the goal of strengthening investigative and intelligence efforts. The state governor confirmed the deployment of operational personnel and the organization of working meetings with authorities from all three levels of government.


These actions seek to ensure the safety of residents and prevent future incidents in the region. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to working in a coordinated manner to restore peace and order in the affected municipalities.
