La Paz will celebrate the South Californian Song Festival this weekend.

Local merchants are already preparing to meet the demand of visitors, selling food, drinks, and handicrafts.

From May 9th to 11th, the La Paz boardwalk will host the 2025 South Californian Song Festival , an event that will bring together composers, performers, and regional music lovers. The South Californian Institute of Culture confirmed the participation of local artists, as well as free songwriting and singing workshops for children and young people.

In addition to the concerts, the festival will pay tribute to historic figures in South California music, including troubadour Benjamín Valenzuela , whose legacy has influenced generations of musicians. Admission is free, and organizers expect at least 2,000 people to attend each day.
