BCS government announces new package of works for rural communities

Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío today presented an ambitious 150 million peso social projects package aimed at strengthening rural communities in Comondú , Mulegé , and Loreto . This program includes the rehabilitation of rural roads, the drilling of wells to ensure access to drinking water, electrification projects, and improvements to community health centers.


During the conference, the president emphasized that "well-being cannot be concentrated only in cities; we need the benefits of development to reach the people as well . "


Community leaders welcomed the announcement with enthusiasm, but also warned of a long history of broken promises in the region. Therefore, they urgently called for transparency in implementation and the establishment of citizen monitoring mechanisms to prevent diversions and delays.
