4.2 magnitude earthquake shakes Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas, BCS. Early Wednesday morning, May 28, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck near Cabo San Lucas , Baja California Sur , according to the National Seismological Service (SSN).


The earthquake occurred at 2:47 a.m. and had a depth of 10 kilometers.


According to preliminary reports, the epicenter was located 403 kilometers south of Cabo San Lucas . So far, no material damage or casualties have been reported, but the event was felt by the population in some areas of the municipality.


Baja California Sur Civil Protection has activated inspection and monitoring protocols to ensure the safety of residents.
