A nest of a Leatherback turtle, the world's largest species and in danger of extinction, was located and secured by CONANP in La Ribera, Los Cabos. This exceptional find, occurring in the Cabo Pulmo area, contained 65 eggs that are now under protection. The event highlights the importance of BCS as a sanctuary for marine biodiversity.
