La Paz, Baja California Sur.- The state capital has positioned itself as a global benchmark in education by inaugurating the first UNESCO Learning Cities Forum in Baja California Sur. The event was led by the mayor of La Paz, Milena Quiroga Romero.

This important forum has gathered 57 representatives from 16 different countries, as well as experts from 20 cities across the Mexican Republic, turning La Paz into an epicenter for the exchange of knowledge and educational strategies.
The goal of the meeting is to foster dialogue on the implementation of new learning methodologies, sustainable development, and culture—key elements in training societies prepared for future challenges, including technological ones.
During the opening ceremony, Mayor Quiroga Romero welcomed the delegations and highlighted the importance of this type of international collaboration for the capital's development.
La Paz's distinction as a "Learning City" by UNESCO underscores the municipality's commitment to education and innovation. This forum will allow local experts to learn from global experiences and apply new techniques in the BCS educational and training system.
